Case and Pulse attachments in web storage providers

You can configure your application to access and store case and Pulse attachments in external web storage providers. The Pega 7 Platform supports Box as an external web storage provider. You can source content from Box, store content in Box, or do both.

To enable your application to access and store content in Box, configure the Content storage and Content sourcing sections in the Integration & security tab of your application rule. Ensure that you have a Box account with a folder to store content and an Authentication Profile of type OAuth 2.0 for a Box provider that will be used to authenticate the connection with Box.

If you enable content storage in Box, the system stores the case and Pulse attachments that you add to the cases in your application in Box. If you enable content sourcing from Box, you can add case and Pulse attachments to the cases in your application from Box.

Note: You cannot configure content storage and sourcing in Box for email attachments and attachments that are added by using automated processes.
